JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Jack: One a day if you could fight for them.
Jerry: yes, during each free time between 9:00 a.m. -
10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., and 7:00
p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Sarah: no way! 90% of the time they were broken or
being used/

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people?
Jack: Very high rates another way to get rich at the
Jail.
Jerry: $2.75 per call
Sarah: oh some god awful price like 50$ for 2 30 min
calls
Jesse: Don't know
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Jack: NO
Jerry: No, not unless you wanted to call someone on
their cell phone or someone who was unable to
accept collect calls on their home phone.
Sarah: yes or collect
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Jack: Yes
Jerry: yes
Sarah: yes. every single one.

Try to stay in the holding cell as long as possible; Gwinnett County's payphones allow you to make FREE phone calls to any 678 770 or 404 phone number for unlimited time (just be courteous so that everyone can use it so that you dont get threatened)
Fulton and DeKalb dont have these priviledges. You will not get your one phone call on GP, so if you need to make a long distance phone call, let the guards know. HOWEVER and this applies to everything, the first thing you want to do is ask everyone in the cell who the most chill sherriff is and who isnt cool. |

i call my telephone companny and they tell me that my line was block to recev calls from any jail so i ask for activeccion and i don have no problem if u with that gloval inc. they stell u money

I want everyone to know about the blood suckers at Gwinett County Detention Facility. For a $50.00 phone card on my Bank Card, they charge a $35.00 fee. Bloodsuckers. No wonder they don't tell you what the fee is over the phone. They leave you hanging.

yeah i know it is crazy!!! My husband called today and we got disconnected, called Global Connect and they said they were having problems with Gwinnett!
My ? is, are they able to get phone cards here? I was told not all jails have the calling card option. Please if anyone knows? |

no they cannot-they can buy calling cards within the jail at THE STORE or you can set up a pre pay deal thru gloal tel link-which is a rip off-
